Hilltop Explorers is an after-school care programme from 3-5pm. It cost's only $5.00 per hour and is O.S.C.A.R. approved. The programme is supervised by Kim Willcock and assisted by Rory O'Mahony.

Friday Afternoon tea (fruit or sandwiches) Physical Activity 'Homework' Board games/puzzles/DVD's Storytime Physical Activity is either outside or inside the library if the weather is bad. Entails ball games, skipping, adventure playground, skateboarding, scooters. Art - painting, drawing, clay/playdough, collage, colouring-in, photography, paper mache etc. Music - playing instruments, singing, creating music on computer programmes, listening to music, Singstar. Dance - Jump jam, hip-hop, creating dance, poi, rakau. Cooking - baking, simple meals (pizza, baked potato etc). Craft - "make and do" construction, card-making, jewellery making, diorama, picture frames, soap making, sewing, weaving, puppets, mobiles etc.
